Sharing a love

of rocks, gems,

and minerals

Our field trips are led by experienced club members, and participants might include geologists, experienced mineral and gem hunters, and those who have never been rockhounding before! Many field trip sites can be accessed by car, but some require four-wheel drive vehicles. Don't worry, you can always catch a ride with one of the other members! (Above is the 2014 Wyoming Jade field trip.)

Riverton Mineral and Gem Society welcomes rockhounds of all ages and levels of interest to participate in our monthly winter meetings and our field trips during the spring, summer, and fall. We welcome families, children, and seniors to join us. Most outings are in primitive areas, but some are close to conveniences.
